Old age home is necessary for the needy and helpless old aged individual, who has no place to go or family to look after them. Old age homes are meant for senior citizens who are left alone. Senior citizens need a lot of care. They look for home and friendship. Old age homes are very important for the kind of society we live in. The reason for this is during old age, many seniors undergo difficult transitions in their lives such as retirement, financial problems, declining health, the death of spouses, partners and friends that can strain their social network and problems in performing daily chores, feelings of irritation, health problems, adjustment in the family, lack of involvement in decision-making process in the family. This strain is particularly worrisome because it occurs at a time when the aged most urgently needs social support to help them recognize emerging problems, provide immediate care, and /or facilitate help from outside sources. The other categories of senior citizens are ones that live without their children. The saddest part is that these elderly people have to often face at times violence and neglect. They go through a lot of psychological problems of isolation and loneliness, widowed women also suffer and have to live alone. One of the factors that make old age homes attractive to elders is the companionship. They are in the constant company of people their own age.
For this humble cause, our church administrative council decided to build an old age home for the needy elders near this jadcherla village
